Torino defender Gleison Bremer has expressed his desire to leave this summer, citing interest from Chelsea and Inter Milan, according to reports.
The 25-year-old is set to leave the Turin-based club at the end of the 2021/22 season, and has sparked interest from clubs all over Europe.
Chelsea and Inter Milan have both been linked with the Brazilian defender, and their pursuits have been given a boost.
Bremer has confirmed that he informed Torino of his plans to leave last summer, and the two sides agreed that he could leave this year to continue his development in the hopes of playing at the highest level.
“I told the coach and the management: ‘I want to change now’ (last summer). So they told me: ‘Stay this year, help us. Next year you can take the next step’,” he told ESPN.
“The fans already know that I have this desire to play in the Champions League, to go there to earn a call-up to the Brazilian national team.”
He added: “I need to play at a much better level, so I think it’s a matter of time.
“I’m analysing some proposals, but I think that next season I will no longer play for Torino.”
Bremer has reportedly received an ‘important proposal’ from Thomas Tuchel’s side, while Inter is in talks to sign the central defender.
Torino is holding out for a fee of between €35 and €40 million in talks with Inter about a possible transfer.
Chelsea’s willingness to match the valuation remains to be seen, as they look to complete a summer transfer for Sevilla’s Jules Kounde.
