Emmanuel Gyasi, of the Black Stars and Spezia, has said that he nearly fainted when he got a shirt from Cristiano Ronaldo.
Gyasi first met the Portuguese skipper when Spezia faced Juventus in the Italian Serie A last season.
After exchanging pleasantries in the first game, the Ghanaian winger made such an impression on Ronaldo that he decided to offer him his shirt in the rematch.
Gyasi told up about his first meeting with Ronaldo in an interview with Corriere dello Sport, saying he was so star-struck that he almost collapsed.
Gyasi said, quoted by FootballGhana: “I still get chills. When I met him in Spezia-Juventus I found the courage to go and say hello and I said: ‘Cristiano, you are an example for me and for everyone’.
He replied: ‘Keep working and cultivating your dreams’. At the return match, in Turin, he came to look for me to give me his shirt. At that moment I almost fainted,” Emmanuel Gyasi said.
