After Matchweek 5, Robert Lewandowski, a star acquisition for Barcelona, was still leading the La Liga scoring chart after scoring in his fourth straight league game. He scored in a 4-0 away victory over last-place Cadiz, bringing his total to six goals and two assists in five La Liga games.
The 34-year-old Polish star sealed a £42.5m (€50m) transfer move from German Champion Bayern Munchic to Barcelona in Spain.
The striker scored 344 goals for Bayern in 375 appearances across all competitions. Besides scoring goals, Lewandowski also has helped Bayern Munich win eight Bundesliga titles in the last eight seasons. He also won three German cups and was crowned Bundesliga’s top scorer for the fifth season running after netting 35 goals in 34 Bundesliga games in 2021/22.
