Gareth Southgate has named his squad for England’s September internationals, with Ivan Toney receiving a maiden call-up.
The likes of Harry Kane, Bukaya Saka, Tammy Abraham and Harry Maguire are part of the list. However, Southgate has received criticism for including 29-year-old Maguire to the list.
On Thursday afternoon Southgate named his 28-man squad for England’s Nations League matches against Italy and Germany.
Maguire, Luke Shaw, and Trent Alexander Arnold were among the players on the team. The aforementioned trio has come under fire for their struggles during United and Liverpool’s turbulent starts to the season.
