Premier League top goal scorers 2022-2023: Erling Haaland continues to lead golden boot rankings.
Erling Haaland missed Manchester City’s 1-0 victory over Leicester City this past weekend, keeping his total of 17 goals in 11 games at 17.
He still needs 18 goals in the final 26 games to surpass the record of 34 goals scored in a season set by Andy Cole and Alan Shearer, but he is already well on his way to breaking the Premier League record.
The closest pursuer, Harry Kane of Tottenham (10 goals), was unable to close the gap against Bournemouth. Aleksandar Mitrovic, the top scorer for Fulham, and his team were blanked by Everton in a scoreless draw, snapping his personal run of three straight games with a goal.
Ivan Toney of Brentford, who also went goalless in a scoreless draw with Wolves, is in fourth place, while Leandro Trossard of Brighton and Miguel Almiron of Newcastle are climbing the charts thanks to their most recent goals on Saturday.
Gabriel Jesus of Arsenal, who had a strong start to the season, has shifted to a more creative role and helped two goals in Sunday’s 5-0 thrashing of Nottingham Forest. Gabriel Martinelli, another member of his team, also scored to tie Jesus with five goals.
