It has been reported that Thomas Tuchel, the manager of Chelsea, is “pushing” for the club to offer up a bid for Presnel Kimpembe, a defender currently playing for Paris Saint-Germain.
Prior to his termination in December 2020, Tuchel managed Kimpembe for two and a half years at PSG.
After Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen left, it is now said that he is eager for a reunion in West London as he plans to restructure his defense.
Ceasar Azpilicueta, the captain of the Blues, and Marcos Alonso, a fellow Spaniard, are reportedly targets for Barcelona.
Furthermore, Tuchel, a German coach, is reportedly “pushing” Chelsea to make a bid for Kimpembe, according to L’Equipe.
With two years remaining on the 26-year-PSG old’s contract, new sporting director Luis Campos thinks his team may be able to make a profit.
Campos might attempt to replace Kimpembe with Inter Milan’s £51 million defender Milan Skriniar.
According to rumours, this is the absolute minimum sum PSG would ask for Kimpembe.
Kimpembe admitted earlier this summer that he would discuss his future with the new PSG hierarchy, which would have included Campos and manager Christophe Galtier.
Kimpembe may now be available on the market as a result of allegedly unsuccessful negotiations.
