Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, makes four changes to the side that started the 1-0 win over PSV at Emirates Stadium.
Aaron Ramsdale, who is making his European debut for the Gunners, Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli and William Saliba all return. Matt Turner, Gabriel, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus make way.
Saka and Jesus are part of a strong Arsenal substitutes bench which also includes Ben White and Thomas Partey.
PSV Eindhoven make two changes to the side that started last week.
Former Aston Villa winger Anwar El Ghazi returns to the side. While 20-year-old defender Jarrad Branthwaite, who is on loan from Everton, also starts.
Former Liverpool defender Ki-Jana Hoever, who is on loan from Wolves, is on the bench.
Arteta defends decision not to rest Bukayo Saka
Arteta defended his decision not to rest Saka in their1-0 win over PSV last Thursday.
Since Saka has started each of his team’s Premier League games so far this season, many assumed Arteta would bench the 21-year-old this time around with Europa League advancement all but guaranteed.
However, Saka did not only start the game but also continued to play for 85 minutes after it appeared that he was having trouble in the latter stages.
After the hosts took the lead, there was a scare when Saka was injured after being tackled from behind. With the World Cup only a month away, many were upset that he was even participating.
However, Arteta has defended his choice, stating that elite players must be able to play every match and should desire to do so as well.
