Two Super Eagles forwards, Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman, were in action as Atalanta took on Napoli in Serie A on Saturday.
Osimhen was making his return from a hamstring injury and provided an assist as the Italian champions won 2-1.
Lookman got Atalanta’s goal and has now scored four goals in 13 league appearances for Atalanta this season.
It was a winning debut for new head coach Walter Mazzarri who replaced Rudi Garcia.
Osimhen, who was named among Napoli’s substitute, was introduced in the 64th minute with the game tied at 1-1.
Kvicha Kvaratskhelia opened the scoring on 44 minutes as he headed in Giovanni Di Lorenzo‘s cross.
The win took Napoli up to third place on 24 points while Atalanta are sixth in the league table.
