The National Sports Commission Director-General, Bukola Olopade, has claimed that all outstanding payments for the Super Falcons were settled before their final match against Morocco.
Olopade stated this information during an appearance on Arise TV on Friday.
He said, “I can confirm authoritatively that all their bonuses have been paid, I spoke with Ajibade yesterday and with the NFF and everybody is on the same page.”
However, it appears there might be some discrepancy, as Olopade mentioned that maybe one or two players might not have collected their bonuses due to bank issues with the Central Bank of Nigeria.
But he assured that the promise made by the President would be fulfilled, saying
“On the promise of Mr. President, I can assure you that it will be paid.”
According to him, the NSC is working with the Minister of Works and Housing to ensure the team receives their houses as promised.
