Super Falcons unmoved in FIFA ranking despite WAFCON 2024 glory

The Super Falcons remain in the 36th position in the latest FIFA women’s ranking released by FIFA on Thursday morning.

Nigeria are unmoved in the ranking despite winning a record- extending 10th title at the 2024 Women’s Africa Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco last month.

Justine Madugu’s ladies however maintained top position in Africa ahead of Banyana Banyana of South Africa, Atlas Lionesses of Morocco, Copper Queens of Zambia, and Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon.

Spain reclaimed top position in the ranking after finishing second at the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025.

The United States of America dropped to second position, while Sweden stayed in third position.

The next FIFA Women’s World ranking will be released on December, 11 2025.
