Ronald Koeman has said that the first thing he would do is to ensure that Barcelona players are made to understand that football is meant to be enjoyed.
Koeman was announced the new manager of Barcelona after Quique Setien was fired from the position.
The Dutchman takes charge and will prepare for his first game after the club suffered an 8-2 loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
He told a press conference:
“As I am Dutch, I like to have the ball and control it. To play good football.
“I have been a coach for a long time, and I have learned a lot. I am ready to coach Barça at the highest level.
“Football is to be enjoyed, and that is the first thing I will say to my players.
“If you don’t enjoy yourself, you won’t get the best out of yourself.”
