Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel has insisted that he has a very good relationship with Sadio Mane.
To drive home is point, Tuchel said he had a big long hug with the Senegalese before his departure.
The former Liverpool man has completed his move from the German side to Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr.
Mane left just a year after he moved from Liverpool to Bayern Munich.
Tuchel believes that Mane was not happy leaving the club, telling reporters, “I can understand that it hurts him.”
The former Chelsea boss admitted that both him(the manager) and the club failed to bring Mane to his full potential.
“We had a big, long hug. We both agreed that we both didn’t like this decision, but we think it’s the best thing to do in this situation,” he added.
“Sometimes things just don’t work out – even if everyone wants it. We have a very good relationship, that will stay.”
