Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has broken his silence over his future after Inter Milan ended their pursuit of re-signing him.
The Belgian has posted a cryptic tweet taking aim at his critics and also firing out accusations of lies, but it’s unclear who that is directed to.
His post comes amid reports from Italy that describe his breakdown in relationship with Inter and his former teammates at the San Siro.
It has been claimed Inter Milan are no longer interested in bringing Lukaku back from Chelsea on a permanent deal after he ignored their calls and instead courted interest from rivals Juventus.
Recent reports from Gazzetta dello Sport have since claimed Lukaku is trying to patch up the relationship and ‘wants forgiveness’, but Inter are not interested.
It’s also claimed the current Inter players are not interested in having Lukaku back in the dressing room either.
Whether that’s tied to Lukaku’s post is unclear, but the striker has posted on his Instagram page: “When the hate doesn’t work, they start telling lies.”
