The statement was made public on the club’s official website, and it stated that the Belgian had undergone testing at the Humanitas Institute in Rozzano. They stated that Lukaku had strained his left hamstring and that his condition would be reviewed in a few days.
The 29-year-old’s late cameo against Sampdoria on Saturday, which colleague Nicolo Barella joked about, appears to have been costly. Lukaku has already missed 12 games for Inter this season due to hamstring difficulties, and the same condition could keep him out of the World Cup.

He will devote his entire effort to recuperating from this current setback. Given that Belgium’s first match is in less than three weeks, manager Roberto Martinez will be concerned about the striker’s fitness.
