The Super Eagles of Nigeria have arrived in Kumasi Ghana for the first leg of the World Cup play-offs.
Some of the players spotted alighting from the team’s bus included Ahmed Musa, Williams Troost-Ekong, Victor Osimhen and others.
The match is taking place on Friday at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Football Association has described Nigeria as “little babies” pretending to be big boys.
This was stated by GFA president, Kurt Okraku, who boasted that the Black Stars will triumph over the Super Eagles in their encounter.
“It’s that time of the year where every Ghanaian will have to stand up and be counted. It’s that time of the year where our country’s pride is at stake,” Okraku told Joy Sports.
“It’s that time of the year where Ghana must be at the Mundial, but before we do that, we have a common foe, the Super Eagles of Nigeria. They come across as our little babies, but they pretend to be the big boys.”
The GFA President’s claims might be true going by the Head to Head between both countries which has Ghana with 21 wins, Nigeria 10 wins with both countries drawing 10 times.
However, Nigeria’s Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, feels differently, saying, “We’re not going to play a draw in Ghana, honestly. We’ll beat the sh*t out of them.
“These guys should just go out, there’s insurance to their next match. There’s insurance there and there’s insurance here.”
The second leg of the match will take place on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Moshood Abiola National Stadium Abuja.
