Davido’s child custody battle with Sophia Momodu has just gotten messier, and there’s clearly a lot to unpack.
Shortly after ranting about Sophia Momodu mentioning his late son Ifeanyi, Davido toon to Instagram to lament, stating that he only wants shared custody of his daughter, and he went on to differentiate between full and shared custody.
In his post, Davido wrote;
”All I ask for is JOINT CUSTODY !! And nothing else! But cus it’s ‘Davido’ all wanna act like yall can’t read. Smh . I’m off this! Yall be blessed and I pray this never happens to you
Joint custody – Both parents will have access to the child. Sole custody – Only a single parent will have access to the child.”
Recall that the singer had filed for joint custody of his daughter Imade Adeleke, but he has been facing some resistance with Sophia Momodu.
In the documents, Davido had stated that Sophia Momodu had frustrated him, and refused him from seeing his child.
He also said he offered a house to Sophia Momodu so she could stay with his daughter, but she declined, and insisted that he should pay rent of five-million Naira yearly for a rented apartment.
Davido also said that Sophia Momodu made Imade miss out on some school days, with the excuse that their car was spoilt, and he had to send another luxury car so they could run around with it.
Sophia Momodu and Davido have been at odds for years, with both parties shading each other constantly online.
She has accused the singer of being absent in their daughter’s life, while missing her birthday and other important events in her life.
Prior to this whole drama, Davido seemed to have had a wholesome relationship with Imade Adeleke, often spending time with her, and even traveling together.
