Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has finally spoken out following reports of her being arrested by her colleague, Mercy Johnson.
It is no longer news that Angela is currently at loggerheads with Mercy, whom she accused of being a witch.
News made rounds during the week that Mercy, with the backing of Ned Nwoko, Regina Daniels’ husband, had filed a petition against Angela. According to reports, sources claim the petition stems from repeated online attacks by Okorie on Mercy, including unverified allegations in June accusing Johnson of “spiritual wrongdoing”.
Movie producer Stanley Ontop added fuel to the fire by suggesting Johnson collaborated with high-profile figures to initiate a legal crackdown.
In an Instagram live, Angela, however, set the record straight. She made it known that she wasn’t arrested. The actress revealed that she was invited for questioning and went there. Angela didn’t disclose further about the outcome of the event.
For the past year, Angela has been launching attacks on Mercy Johnson over undisclosed reasons.
She had dragged the famous actress, accusing her and her mother of being witches. She later went on an Instagram Live session with Mercy Johnson’s former best friend, who called her out for witchcraft and alleged that her late mother was the mastermind. The lady claimed Mercy was aware of the deaths happening in Nollywood and locked the destinies of the famous music group Style Plus and her colleagues.
Resuming her beef with her this year, when photos of Mercy’s slim look made rounds online, Okorie claimed that Johnson hasn’t seen any blood to suck anymore and was pretending that her weight loss was due to her slimming tea. She urged her colleague to go beg the people she ate their destinies and destroyed their homes, or risk having no peace.
In a surprising twist, Okorie, in an Instagram live, said she has forgiven the mother of four because she learnt she was seriously sick. Angela, however, advised Johnson to seek forgiveness from people she had wronged and should stop using church words that don’t represent her.
Debunking her claims via her Instagram story, Regina Daniels stated that Angela was mad as she admonished Mercy not to forgive.
Backing Regina, Uche Elendu noted that the little ones are no longer little, as she stated that their darkness seems to be the real light. She added that people should tag the best Psychiatrist as Angela needs medical treatment.
Also, defending Mercy, Oma Nnadi appreciated and described her as a good woman. Oma stated that anyone who needed to know should ask her, and she will break it down for them. Crowning Mercy, her Woman Crush, she told her to keep shining.
