Nollywood actress Adedola Aderonke, better known as Ashabi Olorisha, is singing the praises of her colleague, Iyabo Ojo, over her sweet gesture to Funke Akindele.
Kemi Filani reported a day back that Funke had once again recalled how her colleagues, Iyabo Ojo, and Sikiratu Sindodo, impacted her humble beginnings. She spoke about how Sikiratu Sindodo borrowed her clothes for her to look classy and presentable on sets and how she returned devastated. She noted that Iyabo Ojo stood up for her until many in the industry noticed her.
Taking to her Instagram page to repost the video, Ashabi Olorisha praised Iyabo as she noted how her good heart will always work for her and her generation. Ashabi went on to rain powerful prayers on her.

This isn’t the first time, Funke has spoken highly of Iyabo. A year back, in an interview, with Toke Makinwa, Funke recounted how Iyabo and Sikiratu Sindodo helped her up the ladder and fought for her during her early career days. According to her, she was being stereotyped because of her physical appearance which many considered ‘ugly’. This led to her breaking down on one of her movie sets and Iyabo and Sikiratu stood up for her.
Over the years, Iyabo Ojo has won hearts for always coming through for her colleagues.
In October of 2023, Kiitan Bukola revealed how Iyabo offered her accommodation following the demolition of her house in Lekki by the Lagos State government.
Also in 2023, Lola Alao recounted how Iyabo visited her in Canada and helped advertise one of her clothes, which led to daily orders from people across the globe. Appreciating her, Lola praised Iyabo for boosting her sales as she bragged about her, calling her a blessed child.
Bimbo Success also disclosed how Iyabo Ojo reached out to her after learning of her twins’ struggles with a severe cough. Bimbo, penning a gratifying note to Iyabo, said the actress was a bit saddened that she wasn’t informed of the situation.
