Michelle Makun, the first daughter of comedian Ayo Makun, and his estranged wife, Mabel Maku,n, have been left emotional over her father’s grand gesture.
Kemi Filani reported during the weekend that Michelle Makun had turned 17, and AY, via his Instagram page, had shared beautiful memories between them before she gained admission into the higher institution. The proud father said watching his daughter grow was one of his greatest joys. He expressed pride in her successes and wished his laughter and love.
To mark her day, the comedian, who is in London to promote his movie, The Waiter surprised her at her school. He shared a video of the beautiful moment he flew in to see her and surprised her with a cake and more.
Michelle, who was caught off guard with his grand gesture broke down in tears as she hugged her father.
In his caption, AY said he is celebrating his daughter’s life, beauty, and brilliant mind, which means the world to him. He cheered on to the incredible young woman she is and all the adventures ahead.

AY undoubtedly shares a strong bond with his first daughter as the comedian never fails to post on his Instagram page. Back in January, AY had shared the cherishing moment he had with his Michelle, before resuming school. The Waiter producer shared a video of himself and his beautiful daughter engaged in a dancing competition, as he lamented over how the holiday was short and gushed over their memories.
Before then, the filmmaker had expressed pride in Michelle when she vlogged about his movie premiere, The Waiter. He appreciated his daughter for helping to contribute to her school fees, as he relived the memories of the moment he had during the premiere.
Also in January, Ayo had penned an emotional note to celebrate his second daughter’s birthday. He noted how he hadn’t seen her much since his separation from her mother. However, he was grateful for every moment they shared. He further admitted that though so many unrepairable occurrences had engulfed the unity they once called family, she should rest assured that she was deeply loved by her mum and him.
To mark her day, AY shared an emotional video of him reuniting with his daughter for her birthday. The box office King had surprised her with cake and more in her school. In the clip, the toddler who was overjoyed seeing him ran to him in a warm embrace and the comedian carried her. Elsewhere in the clip, Ayomide, who didn’t want her dad to leave, was seen pulling his legs and asking him to stay with her.
