Famous Nigerian comedian, Bright Okpocha, otherwise known as Basketmouth, has finally reacted to the long time beef he had with his colleague, Ayo Makun, otherwise known as AY.
Basketmouth, during a podcast with the Honest Bunch crew, disclosed what transpired between himself and AY that made him call off their friendship.
Basket mouth revealed that he and AY have never been friends and they have never had any close or personal relationship with him
He also disclosed that he came in contact with AY through comedy king, Ali Baba, and he had never mentored him before.
Basketmouth claimed something else, which he will not disclose, happened between him and AY and no client was involved in their feud.
The father of three alleged that AY was using lies about their feud to promote his upcoming show, stating that is his usual style.
“AY is not my friend, we have never been friends, I have never visited his house, and I have never personally invited him to my house…”
Basketmouth announces separation from wife
Basketmouth broke the internet when he announced the end of his marriage with his beautiful wife, Elsie.
The father of four made the announcement via his verified Instagram page on Thursday, December 22, where he assured to peacefully co-parent with his wife in taking care of their children.
The actor who didn’t give reasons for the divorce pleaded with the public to respect their privacy.
The sad news had left many in disbelief as they noted how the comedian was fond of making expensive jokes.
“As much as it pains me to bring my personal life to the public space, this is an unavoidable situation.
“After much deliberations, my wife and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage.
“As we move forward separately, we will continue to work together to give our beautiful children all the care, love, guidance and support they need.
“We humbly ask that you respect our privacy as we navigate through these times. Thank you,” he said.
