Nollywood actress, Bimpe Akintunde has penned a powerful note to single mothers.
The Yoruba actress in a lengthy note on her Instagram page, revealed that she has been a single mother to her daughter for 8 years and hasn’t been in a relationship for close to two years.
For her, it isn’t because she is ugly or the worst woman, but because she cuts off any relationship that isn’t working or adding value to her life.
She admitted that being single sucks but it’s not the end of the world and she has learned to trust God.
Bimpe Akintunde encouraged others to be like her and cut off any relationship that doesn’t add value to her life.
“Dear Single Mothers/Single Ladies pls note that God doesn’t hate you nor is he ignoring you Neither do you offend God in any way!!! I have been A Single mom for almost 8years!!! And I have not been in a relationship for close to 2years now!! Yes is not that I am the most ugly woman in the world nor the worst woman!! I am a very beautiful, hardworking, supportive, very God woman!!! Like one of the Best Women God created. Despite all of these!!! I can’t move Godless! He has been so Merciful to me. Because he places the Right time!! Pls Dear Sisters, Focus on you!!!! Focus on your Coals, and Pray harder!!! Work hard!!!! Be happy always, and shine bright like a diamond always. Don’t tie your Destiny to anybody’s apron they can/ will leave you Anytime!! If you try any relationship and it’s not going your way pls cut them off!! That’s what I do, I cut them off completely!!! Early this month, Bimpe Akintunde, while celebrating her birthday, had penned a touching self-note.
In a lengthy post on her Instagram page, Bimpe appreciated herself for still having the heart to move after so many disappointments from lovers and friends.
She appreciated herself for doing her best and handling over the rest to God, for moving forward always, for being a great mother, for never giving up, and many more.
The Yoruba role interpreter noted how it hasn’t been a smooth journey for her, yet she is courageous.
