Nollywood Filmmaker Chinney Love has called out a popular Nigerian bank over missing N1 million from her account.
In a now-deleted post on her Instagram page, she questioned if it was until she came to the back and created a nuisance that they would refund her money. She noted how it’s been two months since her money disappeared into thin air, yet they can’t account for it.
Describing it as broad daylight robbery, she noted how the economy isn’t friendly and urged them to refund her money.
“Dear Access Bank, is it until I come to the bank and cause a nuisance you people will find my money.
952,000 naira equivalent in thin air and you people cannot find my money since two months now, same you guys that debited me.
This economy is not friendly, kindly refund my money.
I don’t know what kind of broad daylight robbery this is. You better have a rethink if you still bank with Access Bank.
Dear @myaccessbank give me feedback as to where my money is. How is it that you people don’t know where my money is two months later! What kind of theft is this?”.
In June, BBNaija reality star, Mercy Eke had cried out after Heritage Bank shut down. Mercy, who was left shocked over the news, claimed that she had over one hundred million Naira in her account.
Singer Candy Bleakz had also cried out on social media over the sudden disappearance of her funds from Wema Bank. She disclosed that everything she had hustled for in the past 8 years had suddenly disappeared, which made it difficult for her to breathe. She went on to tag Wema Bank, expressing that she needed help.
In May, Shan George had cried out for assistance after falling victim to a scam. In a distressing Instagram video, she pleaded for help as she revealed that an alarming sum of N3.6 million had mysteriously vanished from her Zenith bank account to an Opay account.
Last year, singer Peter Okoye called out some Nigerian banks over scams. He revealed that scammers had been opening accounts in his name to scam victims, and questioned why banks would allow anyone to open an account in his name without verification or seeking necessary documents.
In another post, he called out GT Bank as he shared screenshots of accounts with his name, and he expressed how sad and disappointed he was that our financial institutions aren’t reliable and trustworthy. He questioned the essence of BVN and NIN if it’s easy for people to set accounts with other’s identities.
