Nollywood actor Damola Olatunji has replied to those asking if he is the father of his colleague Dayo Amusa’s son.
Kemi Filani reported on Monday last week that the actress had welcomed a baby boy, Oluwafirewamiri. Noting how her treasure has arrived, Dayo expressed gratitude to her Maker as she expressed how excited she was to be a mum.
On Monday, November 26th, the Yoruba actress held a naming ceremony for her newborn son, which had in attendance a few of her colleagues like veteran Fali Werepe, Omowunmi Ajiboye, Damola Olatunji, Iyabo Ojo, and Tope Osoba.
In one of the clips of the naming ceremony, Damola Olatunji was captured sitting beside Dayo Amusa, playing the role of the child’s father, which raised eyebrows online.
Taking to his Instagram page, Damola shared a video from the naming ceremony as he prayed for the actress’ son.
“Yesterday was all about ABDULRASHEED OLASUNKANMI OLUWASEGANMIDOG. May you continue to grow in God’s wisdom and understanding. @dayoamusa”.
In his comment section, a fan had questioned if he was the father of the baby.
“Hmm. So are you the father of the baby? This is very serious o”.
Responding to the fan, Damola concurred with her as he noted how are question was very serious.
“Abi ooo, seriously serious”.
Dayo Amusa had also responded to those asking her about the father of her son. She questioned if their husbands were missing or if they were counting census.
Recall that in May of 2023, Bukola shocked many when she announced her separation from Damola Olatunji.
Issuing out a PSA through her solicitors, Bukola revealed that she and Damola are no longer an item and have parted ways. According to the statement, the estranged lovebirds were never married but were blessed with twins.
Damola, unbothered by the separation, took to his Instagram page to celebrate, sharing a video of himself enjoying life. In another post, he shared a dapper photo of himself; in his hashtag, he described himself as a grace carrier and a man without worries.
In an interview in July, Damola noted how people spread false information about him, accusing him of leaving his marriage, abandoning his house and all, which were incorrect. Hinting at what led to their crashed marriage, he noted how feelings die and love fades as he admonished couples to go their separate ways if the relationship isn’t working, then to become violent.
