Nollywood actor Deyemi Okanlawon beat veteran actor RMD, Lateef Adedimeji, Ayo Makun and many others to emerge as the top highest-grossing actor in 2021.
This is the second time Deyemi Okanlawon has earned the position in two consecutive years.
Taking to his Instagram page, Deyemi Okanlawon said the only sweeter thing than being listed as the highest-grossing actor is earning the position twice and starring in movies with over one billion Naira box office revenue.
Deyemi Okanlawon said he does not take credit for the achievement but, thank God, producers, directors, writers, management, and fans.
In his word: Just like Jim Carrey said… the only thing sweeter than being listed as the highest grossing actor… is being the 2 time highest grossing actor starring in movies with over N1bn in Box Office revenue in 2 yrs!
But I really can’t take the credit for this… I thank God, thank my producers and directors, writers, my fellow cast and super crew members, my management team and all my amazing fans!
Kemi Filani News recall Deyemi Okanlawon, known for his lover boy movies roles, in his 9th wedding anniversary post on January 5, 2022, prayed for God to help him and other handsome menfolk in marriage.
While throwing a shout out to his wife for they have been able to pull through 9 years of their wedding, the actor and father of two, Deyemi Okanlawon wrote thus:
“This is what 9 years together looks like… and as those of you with eyes can see I’m still finer than her. Meanwhile guys, before you do “awwwn” and “couple goals” pls I need you to note the following:
i) While I choose to share the good times pls know that the BTS of my family posts involves a lot of disagreements, not speaking plus the once or twice in a year outbursts of “I’m leaving” (thank God we have more sense and patience now).
ii) I am so flawed and make a lot of mistakes but I’m truly putting in the work to be a better human – Christian, husband, father, son, brother, friend, colleague, mentee, mentor and citizen. God help me and my fellow menfolk (especially those of us that are handsome).
