Nollywood actress Funke Akindele is currently the talk of the town with the premiere of her movie, Everybody Loves Jenifa.
The movie star has been going all out for her new movie; from releasing a Christmas song to lodging her cast and crew in a luxury hotel and spoiling them with a luxury dinner, the movie star has undoubtedly spared no cost.
On Sunday, November 8th, Funke held the premiere of her movie which had lots of her colleagues and other celebrities in attendance. The highlight of the event was the moment Funke arrived at the venue in grand style with a Rolls Royce and heavy security. Funke was joined by Falz, Lai Wasabi, and the cast of her new movie.

Funke Akindele has no doubt come a long way in Nollywood and her growth is quite remarkable and worth learning from. In an interview, last year, Funke recounted how Iyabo Ojo and Sikiratu Sindodo helped her up the ladder and fought for her during her early career days. She said she was stereotyped because of her physical appearance which many considered ‘ugly’. This led to her breaking down on one of her movie sets and Iyabo and Sikiratu stood up for her.
In January, Funke made history in January as the first Nigerian filmmaker to gross over a billion at cinemas, as her latest movie, A Tr!be Called Judah, grossed over N1.4 billion. It was no surprise to many as Funke is one of the most hardworking women in Nollywood. Her movies in the past three years, A Tr!be Called Judah, Battle On Buka Street, and Omo Ghetto The Saga, are the highest-grossing Nollywood films ever.
A few days back, Funke had opened up on the hard times she experienced before rising to stardom. She shared a video of herself being active on the set of her highest-grossing billion-dollar movie, A Trībe Called Judah, as she counted herself as a testimony of believing in herself, saying she faced different challenges but learned to stand tall and encourage others because of them.
