Controversial actress, Nkechi Blessing Sunday has slammed Fancy Acholonu, an American model and ex-fiancée of her colleague, Alex Ekubo.
Fancy has been trending on social media after she revealed that her ex-fiance, Alex, forced her to make a public apology and she fell for it; fans also speculated that they had reconciled and gotten back together following a video that surfaced online.
The 29-year-old has however been forced to reply series of questions in her comment section, following her outburst about the apology. While many praised her courage for living her truth, others who are taking sides with Alex slammed her for wanting to privately resolve their broken relationship.
Netizen query Fancy for ruining Alex’s reputation
A netizen identified as Beauty in the World took to Fancy’s comment section to query her motive for her public apology.
According to her, Fancy humiliated Alex and almost destroyed his career and reputation overnight.
She wrote: “What were you thinking and who’s advising you? You called off the wedding publicly and you wanted to apologize 2/2 and go back to Alex privately? Whether Alex made you tender the public apology or not is irrelevant. You humiliated Alex and almost destroyed his reputation and career overnight but thankfully he was able to manage the situation. Now he served you a taste of your own medicine. What were you thinking? That Alex would marry you again after everything? Men don’t forgive such embarrassment. Whatever made you called off the wedding in the first place should keep you far away from Alex. Social media won’t help you. Go and heal quietly and say less for your own good. Wish you well this year 2023″.
Responding to the query, Fancy wrote: “I did not ruin his reputation. He had those rumours LONG before I met him. So do not blame me for walking away and that being the reason people assumed I did”.
Nkechi Blessing slams Fancy for replying to critics
Nkechi Blessing who once trended online following her messy break-up with her politician ex-boyfriend, Opeyemi Falegan slammed Fancy for responding to critics about spilled milk.
The mother of one said she thought Fancy is a classy lady, however she proved otherwise by stooping so low.
Nkechi blessing wrote: “I think say she be classy Aje butter ooo, ase trenches ni e fancy…Stop letting dis people push you to talk na…leave noise for us biko!
Fancy Acholonu tenders apology to Alex Ekubo
Kemi Filani recalls that Fancy had surprised many when she tendered a public apology to Alex, over a year after calling off their engagement.
In a now deleted post shared on her Instagram, Fancy apologised for the hurt she caused her ex-fiancé and his family by publicly announcing their break up
She further affirmed that her heart still belonged to the actor as losing him “felt like grief.”
Sharing a picture of rosier times, she wrote, “Like our shirt says, Nothing makes sense when we’re apart @alexxekubo you still have my heart. I miss you, I love you, and I’m truly sorry for all the hurt & pain you and your family went through with our break-up.
“My actions in how I handled things was out of my character. I should have controlled my emotions and not been so overreactive. I said too much, I did too much. Please forgive me, I’ve learned my lesson on how to handle situations better.
“I haven’t expressed myself properly. I’m not afraid to be vulnerable and say you, your family, & friends still mean the world to me. Losing you has felt like grief. Love heals #FalexxForever.”
Reacting to this, Alex Ekubo wrote, I appreciate your apology, may God bless us all.”
Alex Ekubo and Fancy Acholonu spark reconciliation
Kemi Filani also recalls that Fancy and Alex sparked a reconciliation rumour after a video of them together surfaced online.
In the video, Fancy, who is based in the U. S, was seen in Alex’s apartment and had been living with him for some days.
Chats and videos between the estranged lovebirds have further fueled rumours of their reconciliation.
