Desola Afod, the wife of Yoruba Nollywood actor, Kunle Afod has been tagged as ‘a woman with low self-esteem’ over her latest statement, promising never to leave her husband.
The mother of four boys, in an interview with Debbie Shokoya on her Talk Show, vowed to never leave her husband even if he cheats on others. She noted how leaving her husband over infidelity wouldn’t guarantee that the next man she would meet, will stay faithful to her.
Desola stated that though her husband isn’t perfect, he is a good man and as long as he doesn’t physically assault her, she doesn’t see any reason why she would leave him.
“Kunle Afod is not perfect but he is a good man. If I decide to leave him based on what people say or what he did, I will still meet the same thing where I’m going.
“Let me get this straight, you ask that I leave my husband because he is cheating, will the new man I am going for not cheat? Debby, I won’t lie to you, it’s a lie it is a big lie. I tell people to always persevere understand themselves and be tolerant. And like I said, no marriage is perfect”.
Reacting to her interview, netizens tagged her as a woman with low self-esteem they berated her for such a statement.

Some weeks back, while celebrating the actor’s 50th birthday, Desola has opened up on life as a celebrity wife, as she admitted that her marriage to him hasn’t been easy.
According to her, marrying a celebrity especially one who is in Theater isn’t easy for anyone, if they are honest. However, she has vowed to never divorce her husband and the father of her kids and to endure whatever comes her way.
Going on her knees, she appreciated him for allowing her to be herself, tolerating her, and loving her with her flaws.
Last year, the couple’s marriage was rocked with several cheating allegations and was almost at the edge of rock.
His wife, Desola Afod had hinted at marital trouble as she shared several cryptic posts.
In one of the posts, Desola stated that manipulation is when you are being blamed for your reaction to their disrespect.
In another, she dished out advice on how to be good enough to forgive someone. However, one shouldn’t be stup!d enough to trust them again.
Also, controversial blogger, Gistlover had described Kunle as a public toilet who was fond of sleeping with his film school students, which Desola is fully aware of.
Gistlover slammed Desola for shielding and covering her husband’s numerous affairs, and spilled on how Desola snatched Kunle Afod from her friend at a birthday party.
However, Desola Afod debunked the rumors with a loved-up video of him and Kunle Afod also called for prayers for his marriage.
