Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has finally revealed the public fight she had with her colleague Eniola Badmus at the premiere of Owambe Thieves.
In a video posted on her Instagram page, she revealed that when she met Eniola at the premiere, the latter told her not to record her as she wasn’t her friend. Laide said she felt embarrassed as she noted how Eniola wanted people to see her as a bad person.
Bakare noted how she made Eniola, through her movie, invested in her for 20 years because of the love she has for her, yet Eniola is repaying her in a bad way.
The mother of three questioned if when Eniola was removing the fats from her body during surgery, they removed her brain.
“Eniola, I made you through my movie; I don’t like bragging. When we met at the premiere, Eniola started shouting, ‘Don’t record me and her; she is not my friend’. I was so embarrassed. She wants the world to see me as a bad person. God will judge you. I invested in you over 20 years ago because I truly loved you. I didn’t do anything bad to you. You are just bitter. She embarrassed me more than 4 times at the party last night. When you did your surgery, and they were removing the fat, it’s like they removed your brain, too.
Eniola you have been bully!ng me for a while now. I must not reveal the rest of the messages you sent to me. You said I have an animalistic behaviour. This was the same thing you did to Ope Aiyeola, that you were bodyshaming her. Eniola, your body is fake. I dare you to post a bikini photoshoot. You can’t open your body because it’s d!sgusting. You are ugly. Look at me without makeup. Even filter can’t cover your ug..liness. You have always been a beggar all your life. That was how you were famzing with Davido then and when he lost his son, you turned it to a content. You are w!cked. I have known you for almost 25 years, you used to call me for advice because I am wiser than you. You can’t deny that I gave you a breakthrough in life”.
Kemi Filani reported that Laide and Eniola had attended the premiere of Eniola Ajao’s Owambe Thieves, where they were captured having an intense argument that almost led to a fight. In the clip, Eniola was captured walking into the event as Laide ran up to her and hurled words at her, but Eniola snubbed her. See video here.
Taking to her Instagram page, Laide shared a screenshot of Eniola’s DM to her, in which she blasted Laide for sharing a photo of them and called her an animal. Laide noted how she gave Eniola her first major role in her life when no one wanted to associate with her because of her ugly looks and obesity. Yet, she paid her back by calling her an animal, as she had let Eniola know she had started what she couldn’t finish.
In 2023, Eniola and Laide had a public fallout after the former threw shade at her over her bizarre outfit to her book, comparing it to Pastor Adejara’s outfit, which didn’t sit well with Laide. Not one to take a shot lightly, Laide noted how Eniola and some of her colleagues don’t celebrate her when she wins but are always looking out for her mistakes.
Hitting back, Eniola reminded her of the time she shamed her for not having a child and family, and for supporting President Tinubu during the election. Sending a message to her, she made her know she wasn’t one to mess with as she loves violence.
