Nollywood actress Laide Bakare is officially a Doctorate degree holder.
Kemi Filani reported last month that Laide had added another feat to her numerous achievements as she bagged a Doctorate Degree. The mother of three revealed that she had been given an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Arts & Humanities from the American University of Peace and Governance, USA.
Now, taking to her Instagram page, Laide announced that it is official for people to address her as a Dr. Sharing photos from the ceremony, she said the degree is geared towards her dedication to Governance, leadership and service to humanity.
“It is now official to be addressed as Hon. (Dr.) Laide Bakare.
This honor bestowed on me as a Doctor Of Arts & humanities (Honoris Causa) by the American University of Peace and Governance, USA (www.aupgedu.us) is a motivation geared towards dedication to Governance, leadership and service to humanity.

It has been a winning year for Laide as in February, Laide bagged an appointment as the Senior Special Assistant to the Osun State Governor On Entertainment, Art, Culture, and Tourism.
Speaking out, Laide announced that it was a new dawn for her as the appointment had kick-started her journey into politics. Calling herself honourable, she appreciated the Governor for trusting her and allowing her to serve as she pledged to the people of Osun State.
