Beauty Influencer and entrepreneur Laura Ikeji has spoken out for Nollywood actress and wife of legendary singer 2baba, Annie Idibia.
The movie star has been trending over the weekend over her toxic behavior on the popular African reality show, Young Famous and African.
Speaking up for her via her Instagram story, Laura admonished anyone who is Annie’s friend, who knows that she is an amazing person, not to join strangers to kick her down. She stated that anyone who has benefited from Annie’s niceness to defend her when people speak ill of her and if they don’t want to defend her, they should keep mute and join outsiders.
Laura, who has also been on reality shows, noted how reality shows will mess up one’s head, and as such, people should show Annie love and maintain positive energy around her.
“If you’re Annie’s friend and you know her and know that she’s an amazing person pls do not join people who haven’t met her to kick her down.
If she has ever been nice to you, defend her where people speak ill of her, and if you don’t want to defend her, keep mute, do not join them to speak ill of her.
Reality shows will mess with your head. So if you have known her before the show, continue to show her love. Let people who haven’t encountered her judge her from the show but you. You have met her and she’s your girl, maintain that positive energy.

On the show, Annie had emotionally opened up about losing twins. While speaking to one of her co-stars, she revealed that she suffered a miscarriage while pregnant with twins one year ago. Describing 2024 as a really hard year, she stated that this was the reason she wasn’t showing up so much on the show and attending events.
Also on the show, Mrs Idibia had sparked social media conversation over her bizarre behavior. In the clip, the actress was captured facetiming her legendary singer husband, 2baba as she revealed her desire to return home. She begged the singer to allow her to come back as she noted how her relationship with her co-reality star, Zaria Hassan, was getting worse.
While counting down to her 40th birthday last year, Annie had sparked concern after she shared a video of herself excitedly counting down to her big day. In the clip, the wife of 2baba was captured scratching her body as she talked about the excitement of hitting the 4th stair. The video didn’t sit well with many who felt she was on drugs.
Recall that in 2022, Annie’s brother, Wisdom Macaulay claimed that Annie is a violent person and does erratic things whenever she is angry. He further claimed that the actress introduced him to drugs as she is a drug addīct.
