The death of Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, the founder of the African Movie Academy Awards has continued to reel in shock among thespians in the movie industry.
Reacting to Peace’s death, ROK TV boss and actress, Mary Remmy Njoku talked about how short human life is and noted that is promised except death. She added that said the essence of life is to create something that won’t die.
Taking a cue from the life achievements of Peace, the mother of three noted that she will be celebrated for her impacts and further prayed for her soul to rest in peace.
She wrote: Life is short. VERY short. The problem is we think we have time. We don’t.
Nothing in life is promised except DEATH. We all die. So the goal is to create something that wouldn’t. And you did. You will be celebrated. Rest in PEACE.
Funny Bone reacts to Peace Anyiam-Osigwe’s death
Comedian, Stanley Chibuna better known as Funny Bone also reacted to Peace Anyiam-Osigwe’s death.
Sharing a picture of the deceased, Funny Bone wrote: “Aunty Peace. Words fail me. I’ve been thinking of how to respond to news of your passing. The more I think about it the more I realize that life can just be unfair. Few weeks ago I called and couldn’t reach you so you called me back and apologized for missing my call saying you don’t joke with my matter.
“We talked for a while and you told me how impressed you were with me. You advised me like you always do. You supported my brand and were my biggest fan. Even when doubters said No, you always insisted on me. You told me to keep doing great work and that you want to be front seat at my next show. I loved hosting the AMAA just because of how confident you were that I could do the job well.
“You impacted too many lives. I will miss you so much. Rest in peace. Aunty Peace”.
Actor Yul Edochie recounts his last moments with Peace Anyiam-Osigwe
Kemi Filani reported hours ago that Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie recounted his last moment with late Peace.
Mourning the deceased, Yul revealed that he had a phone conversation with Peace weeks ago. He claimed that she told him the plans she had for Nollywood in 202$ and commended him for his works.
Biding her goodbye, he prayed for God to console and comfort her family.
He wrote: “Life is so uncertain. Just few weeks ago I had a phone conversation with her where she told me the plans she had for Nollywood in 2023 and commended me for my work. Today she’s gone.
Rest well Madam Peace Anyiam-Osigwe. May God grant your family the strength to bear the loss”.

The news of the passing of Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, the founder of African Movie Academy Awards made rounds on social media on Tuesday morning.
The AMAA founder was pronounced dead at St. Nicholas Hospital, Lagos after going into Coma since Saturday, January 7th.
The sad news was confirmed by Zik Zulu, one of her associates, in a public statement. He wrote: “Our President, Peace has passed. As at Saturday, she was reported to be in Voma at Saint Nicholas.
