Yinka Theisen, the estranged wife of Nollywood actor Linc Edochie, has finally opened up about their split in her first interview.
In an interview with actor Uche Maduagwu on Instagram Live, she said she didn’t like the way the family threw her under the bus and believes it’s because she is Yoruba. She noted that she was accused of being the one who leaked the phone numbers of the oldest Edochie son, Leo Edochie, and another family member, which she denied.
Yinka insisted that she had no hand in leaking the phone numbers of the Edochie brothers and alleged that Rita Edochie is pretending to be on May Edochie’s side, while instigating problems for May behind the scenes.
Explaining how the attack from May’s supporters began, Yinka said it began when she liked Yul Edochie’s wife, Judy Austin, ‘s post showing off her child. Yinka said she did so because she didn’t want to inherit the family drama between May and Judy Austin. This move, however, angered May’s fans, and they attacked her, which caused her to share her number, leading to a media storm that caused Linc to end their marriage.
Yinka insisted that she had never spoken to Judy or Yul in her life and only showed support for them on social media.
Yinka married Linc in June 2025 and immediately began publicly showing love to Yul Edochie and Judy Austin, a move that did not go down well with supporters of May Edochie.
Kemi Filani reported last month that Linc had distanced himself from Yinka following her attacks on May Edochie. He made it known that he doesn’t endorse May’s attacks or posting her number online, which has triggered meaningless retaliation. Yul’s elder brother added that it is better to be alone and at peace than to be in a union filled with landmines.
Reacting to his public statement, Yinka told her haters to keep laughing at her, as she expressed sadness at how a man she loves can throw her under the bus over an argument because of fear. Yinka added that since he cowardly embarrassed her on social media, she will respond in kind.
Weighing in on the drama, Rita Edochie expressed her bafflement at how Yinka attacked May, who has done nothing against her, nor as she met. She questioned what would have happened if Yinka had married into the family.
