In recent developments, Mohbad’s mother has filed a petition against her ex-husband, Mohbad’s father, Mr Joseph Aloba for alleged threats to life.
The woman, who has been vocal about her strained relationship with her ex-husband, reportedly filed this report petitioning the Assistant Inspector General of Police for alleged threats to her life.
In the petition, which was filed through her lawyer, she expressed that her ex-husband has been threatening her life because she has refused to join him to fabricate lies against Omowunmi, Mohbad’s wife, concerning the late singer’s death.
She also stated that Mr. Joseph Aloba, her ex-husband, has been granting numerous interviews to the press and bloggers on social media, and he even threatened her life. She further stated that she has been seeing strangers in her former residence, monitoring her, and that because of the threats to her life, she was forced to relocate to another place just to avoid being killed. She went on to state that because of his actions on social media, some netizens on social media have taken to bullying her.
Now let us recall that Kemi Filani had reported in April of 2024 that Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has sent a message to her gender as she celebrated Mubat’s mother on her 50th birthday.
Taking to her Instagram page, she advised ladies that when praying for a mother in her, they should always pray that God will give them someone like Mohbad’s mother. She went on to give her reason as she noted how Mohbad’s wife, Omowunmi, had gained the support of Mohbad’s mother through all of the trials and tribulations of social media.
Also recall that back in 2023, Mohbad’s mother had revealed why she rarely tells people that she is related to Mohbad. She stated that she hardly tells people that she is Mohbad’s mother because she is scared that they would kidnap her due to his standing in the entertainment industry.
