Stella Maris, the widow of late veteran Nollywood actor John Okafor better known as Mr Ibu has made her first public statement since his death.
The actor’s wife, while speaking to the press, revealed that she felt so bad and shed tears on Father’s Day when she remembered her late husband.
Speaking on Nollywood industry, she stated that they have been supportive to her and her children since they passed and have been good to them.
“On Father’s Day, I felt so bad and was shedding tears when I remembered my husband. The Nollywood actors have been supporting me and my children since he passed away. They have been good to us.”

Kemi Filani reported in March that the veteran actor, who had battle for his life for months, had kicked the bucket. The news was made known by a healthcare worker, where the actor was said to have kicked his last bucket. The president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas later confirmed the news as he revealed he died of Cardiac Arrest. His death threw the industry into mourning as he was the beloved of many and had made our childhood memorable.
Recall that in October, last year, Mr Ibu had cried out to the public for help as he battled an ailment. Music sensations Davido and P-Square, along with the popular personality Tunde Ednut, and former senate president, Bukola Saraki came to his aide.
The actor underwent 7 surgeries which were all successful, and had his leg amputated twice. At some point, his health deteriorated and the actor lost his voice in the process. In January, he was discharged and this left his fans and lovers excited, unfortunately, their joy was shortlived as he gave up the ghost two months later.
