Nigerian music star Nigerian music star Peter Okoye of the defunct Psquare group has been left trending over his absence at his twin brother’s child’s dedication.
Kemi Filani reported in October that Paul and Ifeoma had welcomed their first child, a baby girl in the United States. Confirming the news, Paul Okoye had shared an adorable video of his older children with his ex-wife, Anita Okoye, meeting their new sibling, who would be their half-sibling. Sharing the post, Okoye revealed that the past months had been filled with joy in his family, and it was the sweetest period in their lives.
On Sunday, Paul, via his Instagram page, posted photos from his daughter’s child dedication, which was held at Elevation Church, Lagos. The singer and his wife, alongside his elder brother, Jude Okoye and his wife were present at the event. Noticeably absent were Peter Okoye and his wife.

When Psquare turned 43 last year, amid their fallout, Peter Okoye extended an olive branch to him, as he wished himself and his twin brother a happy birthday and told him to stay winning.
Recall that Psquare fell out again because of the joint funds being diverted by their elder brother, Jude Okoye.
In an interview, Paul claimed Peter got him and their older brother, Jude Okoye, arrested by EFCC in December 2023. Luckily for him, after a thorough investigation conducted by the commission, he was declared innocent of all the allegations levelled against him.
Addressing Paul’s interview, He noted how Paul, rather than joining forces with him to reclaim their number one spot in the music industry, chose to team up with their elder brother, Jude Okoye, to marginalise and humiliate him. He further claimed that his twin brother has constantly disrespected him, his wife, his family, his talent, his ideas and more.
In November, Paul accused Peter and their former producer of stealing his songs. In an Instagram rant, Paul made it known that the days of manipulation were over as he promised to release the original version of any songs of his that were being replicated.
Speaking out, Peter shared his phone conversation with the producer of the song as he questioned if one could steal his property. Peter told Paul to allow him to do his music in peace as he begged him to allow him to enjoy his new single in peace and stop with the negativity.
