Award-winning Nigerian actress, Damilola Adegbite is pleading with couples of over five years to share the secrets of their marriages.
For Adegbite enough has been heard of failed marriages and the young ones need to be inspired by stories of successful marriages.
The divorced mother of one made her pleas via her verified Instagram page where she wrote. “I don’t think we hear enough about happy marriages. Marriages that continue to pass the tests of time. All we hear about are the ones that didn’t work. Please if you have been happily married for at least 5 years and you see this message on your time line, please brag to me. Damilola Adegbite a few years ago found love in her fellow actor, Chris Attoh, on the set of Tinsel.
Then, Adegbite believed she had found her own fairy-tale. Both actors had gotten engaged in 2014 and welcomed their son, Brian, a month later.
They tied the knot on February 14, 2015, at a private wedding at the La Villa Boutique Hotel in Accra, Ghana.
Unexpectedly for the actress, this perfect haven came crashing down three years into the marriage, and the news went viral.
After months of speculation and denials, in September 2017, Attoh finally admitted that his marriage to the Nollywood actress was over.
Attoh later marry an American, Bettie Jennifer, who was shot dead in May 2019.
The U.S. police officials later revealed that the deceased was married to two different men, one of whom is a convicted Baltimore drug lord.
While on her part, Damilola Adegbite is still single and haven’t been seen with another man since her marriage crash.
