Nollywood actress and mother of two of controversial singer Portable’s kids Omobolarinde Akinyanju, popularly known as Ashabi, is starting the New Year by putting herself and her happiness first.
The Yoruba actress, who celebrated her birthday a few days back, via her Instagram page, shared a video of her living her best life. In the clip, Ashabi received a package from a grill company and was captured enjoying the meals they sent.
In her caption, Ashabi stated that just as dirty water can’t stop plants from growing, negative comments can’t stop her happiness.

To mark her birthday this year, Ashabi shared jaw-dropping photos as she revealed that the faith she has this year is different, and she is sure everything is going to work out fine for her. The mother of two stated that she believes in God as He is her strength.
Her baby daddy had joined her in celebrating her day as he described her as his queen, appreciated her for believing in him, and prayed for God to bless her.
A few days back, Ashabi revealed her New Year resolution. She made it known that she will be staying a lot of Nos this year as she wants to do jobs that she would be proud of and be happy doing. The mother of two noted how bills aren’t a joke as she questioned how she would be able to pay her bills if she worked for free.
In June last year, Ashabi slammed a troll who labeled her a babymama while checking up on her. Giving the troll an update on her health status, she referred to the troll as barren.
The fast-rising Yoruba actress had, in another post, appealed to her Maker. She shared a video of her in tears, surrounded by her cast mates, as she expressed gratitude to her Maker for a successful project and noted how she cried and laughed, but God knows what her real feelings were.
In February of 2024, Ashabi had cried out to the public for help, stating that she knows it isn’t always a smooth and clear road but questioned the assurance of being on the right path. She revealed that she had been getting more tired lately than expected as she begged her fans to watch her movie to help strengthen her as she was weak.
