Nollywood actress and babymama of singer Portable, Omobolarinde Akinyanju, better known as Ashabi, has revealed her resolution for the New Year.
Taking to her Instagram page, she told her actor friends to include payment in their budget if they want her to be on their project this year. She stated that they shouldn’t call her as she would be mad if they expected her to support them for free.
She told vendors who want her to influence her brand for free or at silly rates not to bother reaching out to her as she wouldn’t work with them. The mother of two noted how bills aren’t a joke as she questioned how she would be able to pay her bills if she worked for free.
Ashabi made it known that she will be staying a lot of Nos this year as she wants to do jobs that she would be proud of and be happy doing.
“You are my friend, and you really want me on your project this year. Make sure you include payment in your budget.
Or don’t call me at all. I won’t even be mad. But I will be mad if you expect me to support you for free.
You are a vendor, and if you want me to influence your brand for free or at silly rates, don’t bother o. I’d rather not work with you.

In June last year, Ashabi slammed a troll who labeled her a babymama while checking up on her. Giving the troll an update on her health status, she referred to the troll as barren.
The fast-rising Yoruba actress had, in another post, appealed to her Maker. She shared a video of her in tears, surrounded by her cast mates, as she expressed gratitude to her Maker for a successful project and noted how she cried and laughed, but God knows what her real feelings were.
In February of 2024, Ashabi had cried out to the public for help, stating that she knows it isn’t always a smooth and clear road but questioned the assurance of being on the right path. She revealed that she had been getting more tired lately than expected as she begged her fans to watch her movie to help strengthen her as she was weak.
In other news, last year, Ashabi had called out a scammer, who was using her name and picture to scam people, as she shared screenshots of their chats. She begged her fans to help her report and block the account as she noted how she thought she had seen it all.
