Nollywood actor, Richard Mofe Damijo better known as RMD has expressed joy as he joins the Oscars Voting Academy.
Kemi Filani reported earlier that the veteran alongside, Shola Dada, Jade Osiberu, and CJ ‘Fiery’ Obasi has scored an invite to the Academy’s new member list.
Taking to his Instagram page, RMD described the news as the best birthday present as he stated that his birth month, July comes with perfection and plenty of gifts.
RMD noted how he kept seeing messages of congratulations but didn’t know what to make of the news until he confirmed it.
“I just kept seeing messages of congratulations but I didn’t know what to make of it. My people did some digging and they confirmed it is on their official website. So, it’s official. Congratulations are in order!
Best Birthday present comes early! July my birth month comes not only with perfection but plenty gifts!
Ps, I don’t know my sponsors for this yet but when I do I will say thank you again. My heart is glad!”.
Kunle Afolayan jubilates as he joins The OSCARS Voting Academy
Hours ago, Kunle Afolayan who had also gotten an invitation to join the academy members took to his Instagram page to rejoice.
Kunle Afolayan expressed gratitude for the invitation, as he noted how it is another opportunity for him to serve.
“Another opportunity to serve. Shola Dada the writer of Roti and Anikulapo the movie and the forthcoming series is also a new member.
Thanks for the invitation”.
The invitation came almost a year after his movie, Anikulapo was rejected by the Oscars.
RMD shares rare family photos as his son graduates from university
Just weeks back, RMD shared some rare family photos on social media as his son graduated from the university.
The proud father shared photos of his beautiful family attending his son’s graduation ceremony. The photos comprised of his wife, their daughter, and his parents.
Sharing the photos on his verified Instagram page, RMD expressed gratitude to God for gifting him people that want more for themselves than he can ever want for them.
He revealed how proud he is as a father while congratulating his son.
