Media personality and Nollywood actress Toke Makinwa has replied to an X user who upgraded her age.
The former On Air personality had shared jaw-dropping photos of herself on her Twitter page, and an X user had praised her for looking hot in her 40s.
“This aunty na 40+ looking this hot. Okay”.
Replying to him, Toke Makinwa questioned who was in her 40s as she told him she hadn’t clocked 40. She, however, assured the tweep that when she turns 40, she will be hotter.
“You and who is 40 plus?? I am not 40 yet oo. Calm down; I’ll enter into 40 hotter”.
As expected, her shocking revelation stirred reactions, with many slamming her for reducing her age.

Toke Makinwa isn’t the only one having a face-off with internet users over her age. In May, Uche Ogbodo had a face-off with a troll on her birthday after the troll reminded her that kids born in 1986 were the ones turning 38 years old. The troll hoped the movie star was honest about her age to her boyfriend, and this didnât sit well with Uche, who lashed out at her.
In February, while celebrating her 35th birthday, Nkechi Blessing lashed out at those accusing her of reducing her age. She stated they could keep choking on her age as she shamed them for being stagnant.
Big Brother Naija winner Mercy Eke came under fire after her real age was exposed last year. Her sister, Sweery Eke, took to her defence, sharing a screenshot of Mercyâs birth certificate, noting how, in 2050, people would still be talking about her sisterâs success and age. Sweeney added that the only thing they have against her sister is because of the level of access she has at 30.
Actress Caroline Danjuma was mercilessly dragged online last year after she claimed she was turning 35, which left many in disbelief. Reacting to it, Caroline shared photos of her mother, who she stated was in her 50s, as she questioned how she could be in her 40s and had a message for those who asked her for her certificates.
