Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham has set tongues wagging as she was conspicuously absent at Iyabo Ojo’s birthday bash.
Kemi Filani news reported that Iyabo Ojo who turned 45 yesterday, December 31st threw an elaborate bash to mark her new age.
Toyin Abraham, who is close friend with Iyabo Ojo, was noticably absent at the event. Her rival, Funke Akindele had surprised many as she attended the bash.
Since settling their dispute at AMVCA 2022, the friendship between Iyabo Ojo and Funke Akindele has continued to wax stronger.
In the videos and photos which made rounds online, Toyin was nowhere to be seen at the event as Funke Akindele stormed the party.
However, Toyin’s absent wasn’t due to Funke Akindele, as the mother of one is currently ill. In her birthday post to Iyabo, earlier in the day, Toyin revealed that despite her illness, she wouldn’t fail to wish Iyabo a happy birthday.
Toyin Abraham dares Toyin Lawani over Funke Akindele
Few days back, Toyin Abraham had dared her stylist, Toyin Lawani against the premiere of her highly anticipated movie, Ijakumo which held on Sunday, November 18, 2022.
Recall that Toyin Lawani had previously stormed Funke Akindele’s movie premiere, Battle on Buka street, in a piece that had an image of Funke Akindele.
The creatively styled attire was adjudged the best-dressed title at the occasion and movie producer Funke Akindele was beyond grateful.
“It is so unique and hot, I want one” Funke Akindele had remarked.
Daring the celebrity stylist on Instagram, Toyin Abraham while commenting on a post on Toyin Lawani’s page wrote “You are a fool, make i no see my face for your cloth tomorrow, you will see serious madness. Love you sha”.

Kemi Filani recalls that las year, Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele had tongues wagging when they both chose the same date, September 10, 2021, to release their movies, ‘Ghost and the tout too’ in the cinemas and ‘Omo Ghetto the saga’ on Netflix.
Iyabo Ojo further fueled the rivalry by calling out Funke Akindele days after the movies were released for paying a popular movie citric to ruin Toyin Abraham’s movie.
However, Toyin Abraham, in an interview, debunked having any issue with Funke Akindele stating that the mother of two is among the people she respects in the Nollywood industry.
According to Toyin Abraham, Funke Akindele is her senior colleague, and she respects her so much, but many people always mistake family, friends and colleagues as she cannot be friends with everyone.
