Nollywood actress and movie producer Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi has recounted her trials in the movie industry.
The mother of one who is gearing up for her movie premiere in December recounted the bashes, criticisms and negative comments she has received over the years; and also the praises she has received.
Toyin Abraham announced that she has returned to filmmaking and will not leave any stone unturned.
Toyin appreciated all her cast and crew who came out to support her, her fans who are continuously rooting for her, and also her creator for the wisdom and strength to navigate her journey as a mum and wife.
“A lot of times people don’t know what goes on behind closed doors. Shooting a movie, getting creative minds together, making a project and then pushing it out there for thousands to see.
Over the past years, I have been bashed, gotten lots of criticism and yes lots of praises too and for this, I am happy to tell you guys that I have taken it all in, and I am fully back as filmmaker. When I say I am back, I mean fully and I am not going to leave any stone unturned. I want to use this opportunity to say a big thank you to my cast and crew, to everybody who came out to support me.
To all my fans rooting for me, without you there will be no me. You all are truly my Titans. To God for the wisdom and strength to navigate this journey as a mum and a wife. I’m eternally grateful. Toyin’s emotional birthday message to Ini Edo
This isn’t the first time Toyin has opened up about her trials in the industry.
To mark Ini Edo’s 40th birthday, Toyin Abraham revealed how the actress stood up for her.
In the post shared on her Instagram page, Toyin Abraham described Ini Edo as a wonderful person and thanked God for sparing his life.
Toyin noted she couldn’t forget how Ini Edo stood up for her when someone didn’t want to work with her, even when she didn’t have to do it.
She wrote: Happy birthday sis @iniedo, you are such a wonderful person, I thank God for sparing your life. “I can’t ever forget how you stood up for me when someone didn’t want to work with me, even when you didn’t have to, but that’s story for another day”.
She added: “I just want to say thank you for doing that. I pray that when you need it most nations will rise to support you. May God bless you according to your heart’s desires. I love you.”
