Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu has carpeted clergyman, Apostle Johnson Suleman over his preaching on love.
The president of Omega Fire Ministry, during a church service, had slammed ladies who are fond of saying ‘Love na scam’. He stated that ladies use such manipulative statements when men don’t bow to them or do their bidding.
“Some young ladies say Love is a scam. Any man dey see that doesn’t give them what they want, they say love is a scam. Lady, love isn’t a scam, you just see men as customers”.
Disagreeing with him, Uche took to the streets of Lagos to protest as he questioned what concerns a clergyman with such a statement. Uche Maduagwu noted how many ladies have seen hell in relationships, hence why they use such a statement.

A lot of people have been calling my attention to this your preaching because I once promoted @boiimanya song “love Na SCM” last year and the song became popular all over Naija, so, it came as a big surprise to me seeing this, that’s why I did this protest for the road. Abeg, Wetin concern Pastor with “Love Na SCM” NITORI OLORUN? With the way Naija men are showing ladies SHEGE for #Relationship today, Abeg, Se Love no be SCM Ni?”.
Over the years, Uche has become well known for tackling his colleagues over their public statements.
The controversial actor had, a year back, lashed out at Ned Nwoko, the husband of Regina Daniels, for slamming Nigerian men for shunning polygamy. Uche warned the billionaire to stop disrespecting Southern Christian men who choose to be contented with their one wife. He questioned why Ned only publicly shows off Regina and carries her to his campaign, leaving his other wives behind.
During the wake of Davido’s alleged cheating scandal with a US-based model, Uche had quizzed Davido on his silence and for not defending his wife, Chioma, publicly. He questioned if Davido enjoys seeing his side chicks embarrass Chioma daily.
When Yul Edochie sent a Father’s Day message to men, advising them against sleeping with people’s partners, Uche pointed out the hypocrisy at which Yul slept with a married woman and took her as his second wife. He stated that the actor needed church prayers and gave kudos to his estranged wife, May Edochie.
In other news, Uche made a strong case for the need to celebrate divorce anniversaries. He stated that celebrating divorce should be normalized and people should stop making it look like a funeral, as divorce isn’t a sign of failure but a celebration of bravery and freedom.
