Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu has weighed into the bitter custody battle between music star David and his first babymama, Sophia Momodu.
Taking to his Instagram page, he questioned where the singer has been for the last two years as he noted how Sophia had accused him of abandoning Imade for 2 years.
Uche states that Davido can’t just wake up one morning and demand joint custody as he questions the emotional discomfort and stress Sophia has gone through.
Advising the singer, he told him to pay Sophia a whopping N500 million as an apology for all she had gone through.
“Pay her 500 Million Naira as APOLOGY for all she did go through if you want Joint Cstody of Pikin. Then also Comot the case for Court, and make you Na settle the matter by calling both Families. Davido, where were you in the last 2 years? According to my Sophia Sophia, you no see them, so you just think you can wake up one morning and demand joint cstody? What of all Emtional DSCOMFORT and STR*SS this good woman Don go through trying to play the role of Father and Mother to her Pikin in that 2 years?”.
A few days before Davido’s traditional wedding to Chioma, Davido had filed a suit, seeking joint custody of his daughter, as he claimed Sophia was denying him access to her and extorting money from him. He claimed Sophia rejected his house offer and demanded he pay a N5 million monthly rent for her house, among others.
Sophia had responded, revealing that she had an affair with Davido from 2020-2022 while he was dating Chioma. She debunked his claims of denying him access to his daughter, as she revealed that Davido had never made any attempt to meet with Imade and had abandoned her because she refused to have sex with him.
On Friday, new reports from their ongoing custody battle emerged online. Sophia had filed a 102-paragraph affidavit to oppose the singer seeking joint custody of their daughter, citing reasons such as the death of his son, Ifeanyi, his controversial lifestyle and his love for using their daughter to get back at her as reasons for opposing him.
Reacting to it, Davido noted how Sophia was constantly bringing up the death of his child at any point just to remind them of the tragedy that haunts them every day of their lives. The singer noted how his daughter would grow up to know she fought for him as he gave her custody of their daughter, reminding her that Imade wouldn’t be a child forever. Expressing his love for Imade, he told Sophia to enjoy her.
