Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu has slammed music star Davido for gifting Ubi Franklin a new car.
Kemi Filani reported that Ubi, via his Instagram page, revealed that Davido gifted him a new car. He appreciated the singer’s sweet gesture, noting how Davido knows how to do what’s right for his people.
Reacting to it via his Instagram page, Uche Maduagwu took a swipe at the singer for gifting his friend a new car yet financially torturing his first babymama, Sophia Momodu. Telling the singer that Charity begins at home, he stated that Davido is supposed to be paying Sophia N23million for her house rent. He stated that if he is unfit to do that, then he needs serious prayer.
“Davido, Charity begins at home. If you can give Ubi Wey no be your Family, 68 Million Naira car, then you suppose fit pay my Sophia Sophia, (Wey be MAMA of your First Pikin) 23 Million Naira house RENT. If you no fit, then you need ONIDUROMI #church PRAYERS. Where are all those saying my Sophia Sophia no suppose stay for 23 Million Naira house? hope you guys are also using that over SABI Energy to also say David no suppose give Ubi this expensive car?”.
Recall that following his marriage to Chioma, Davido and Sophia have been embroiled in a messy child custody battle over their daughter, Imade. Last month, while preparing for his traditional wedding, Davido had filed a suit, seeking joint custody of his daughter, as he claimed Sophia was denying him access to her and extorting money from him, which she denied. Sophia had revealed that the Range Rover Davido gifted Imade years back was secondhand, and he had refused to pay half of their accommodation and Imade’s school fees.
A week later, she had opposed his joint custody battle, citing the death of his son, among others, as reasons the singer was unfit to raise their daughter on his own.
