Nollywood actor, Uche Maduagwu has slammed his senior colleague, Pete Edochie over his criticism of Nollywood actresses several failed marriages.
In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Pete Edochie had expressed disappointment at his junior colleagues, Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha, Ireti Doyle, Tonto Dikeh, and many others crashed marriage.
The veteran revealed that he was the most shocked when he learned Chioma had left her husband.
The father of Yul Edochie, further revealed that many Nollywood actresses have dumped their husbands, rather than stay in their marriages.
He reminded them that they made a vow for better and for worse, yet they couldn’t stick to their husbands during their worst moments.
The video which went viral earned lots of criticism from netizens, including Uche Maduagwu, who slammed him for his hypocrisy.
He noted how the veteran overlooked his son, Yul Edochie’s disgraceful action in his marriage, to berate another.
Uche avowed that marriage is supposed to be enjoyed not endured, as he claimed he wept bitterly when he watched the video, which he tagged insensitive.
The controversial actor reminded Pete that his son and his second wife, Judy have been disgracing themselves and taunting May Edochie who is still mourning her son.
“Focus on your PIKIN DISGRACEFUL actions in Marriage, not these great actresses matter. Marriage is supposed to be enjoyed, not endured. I wept bitterly after watching Sir Pete’s interview, so INSENSITIVE. Instead of boldly criticizing wetin him Pikin do him wife of more than 16 years of Blissful marriage by giving colleague Movie Location. Belle, instead of criticizing how him Pikin dey do dance and signing videos with Judy on social media even when May dey mourn, you are focusing on Tonto Dikeh, Aunty Ireti, and Chioma that are now fulfilled and spiritually prosperous. Seriously?”.
Pete Edochie speaks out on Yul Edochie’s marital crisis
Recall that the veteran had broken his silence on Yul Edochie’s marital issues which have been lingering over social media for a while now.
Elsewhere on his chat with Chude Jideonwo, Pete Edochie while addressing the issue in Igbo parables said “Since Yul has decided to bring in a foreign and infested woman into the family, he has invited all the lows, backwardness, pain, insults and so on in this life
He who goes to the farm and gets ants-infested firewoods (amongst all the good firewoods in the farm) shouldn’t be surprised when Lizards start paying him a visit (like lizards disturbing nah).
May Edochie, finally filed for divorce from Yul in June, after 18 years of being married. The dissolution of their marriage stems from Yul’s affair with his colleague, Judy Austin, who he has now married.
May refused to be trapped in a polygamous family and had lost her first son, Kambilichukwu in the heat of her marital crisis.
