Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola has spoken about her struggles as she unveiled the latest project, Konge 3.
In an Instagram post, she shared a video of herself crying on set. She revealed that she broke down in tears immediately after wrapping the movie.
The award-winning actress said shooting Konge was a journey. She was in the middle of a procedure, sick and tired, and the character shook her.
Toriola expressed her sympathy for those going through unplanned incidents and prayed that they wouldn’t become happenstances that lead to tragedy.

Things we didn’t plan, and boom, they just come.
Some have taken a lot to greatness, and some have shown others setbacks.
In all, I pray we don’t become happenstances to tragedy.

Last year, following the premiere of her first Cinema movie, Wumi shared her scar story. Sharing photos of her injured hands and leg, she recounted how she slipped in her room and fell so heavily. She said she also broke her knees, and she didn’t know how she would resume her location. But through it all, she learned that a scar was a sign of strength.
Last year, Toriola had received a box office award. The Yoruba actress took to her Instagram page to share the news with her fans and followers, as she revealed that she was awarded the box office champion of 2024 by the National Film and Video Censors Board NFVCB.
In other news, Wumi threw shade at some of her colleagues for rubbishing her efforts. She revealed that someone called her a YouTube star, and yet, some of her colleagues are yet to conquer YouTube and are still floating in the box office world. Questioning if their colleagues knew them before rebranding, she admonished them to run their race and stop looking for Bollywood.
