Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola has reacted following a subtle shade from singer Adekunle Gold.
Taking to the micro-blogging platform Twitter, now known as X, Adekunle compared Wumi to Big Brother Naija Imisi, noting that they both have a crãzy personality.
“Imsi na Wumi Toriola. Awon werey meji”.
Responding to him, Wumi said she had repented since the beginning of the year and that she was now a gentle lady.
“Big fish, I don repent fah. Since the beginning of this year, na gentle lady I be”.
It isn’t surprising to see the sweet exchange between Wumi and Adekunle as they are both fans of each other’s careers.
Months ago, Toriola declared Adekunle Gold the biggest fish in the industry, supporting his 10 years in the industry.
In another post, she shared photos of her outfit for the event, as she called him her favourite.
Wumi revealed an unknown fact about herself. She stated that she walks her own path unapologetically and with unwavering focus. The mother of one made it known that she doesn’t allow the noise, hype and opinions to move her. She stated that people can call it anything they want, but she sees it as growth forged through struggle.
Last year, a fan of Wumi had reprimanded her for throwing shots at some of her colleagues, advising her to leave others and stop creating enemies for herself and Wumi replied, telling him to shut up.
The talented scrip interpreter, in another post, threw shade at some of her colleagues for rubbishing her efforts. She revealed that someone called her a YouTube star, and her stubbornness made her take it with so much pride. Wumi noted how some of her colleagues are yet to conquer YouTube and are still floating in the box office world.
