Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has written a note to Ndi Igbo on selecting traditional rulers.
In a lengthy post on his Instagram page, Yul told them to stop messing with their traditions as he educated them on how traditional rulers are selected traditionally and not by election or government. According to him, these were the ways of their forefathers.
Yul noted how people have now embraced too much of the white man’s ways and destroyed their society with it, hence why there is so much crime in our society.
The movie producer stressed that traditional rulers are selected by the deity of the land, and he will swear before the deity to uphold truth, unity and peace and shun evil.
“Ndi Igbo, stop messing up our tradition.
A traditional ruler must be selected traditionally, not by election or the government.
And he must be a core traditionalist.
Those are the ways of our forefathers.
We have now embraced too many of the white man’s ways and destroyed our society with it.
That’s why there’s so much crime in our communities today.
It’s time to retrace our steps and bring back our glory.
A traditional ruler must be selected by the deity of the land.
Then he will swear before the deity to uphold truth, unity and peace, and shun evil.
Any day he goes against the oath, the deity will strike him down.
With that, he will never support evil, and he’ll fight evil with all his might”.
A few days back, the controversial actor announced his return to Christian and Traditional worship. He revealed that God told him to lead his people back to their traditional ways. Yul declared himself a prophet and traditionalist.
It is no longer news that Yul had accepted his calling as a Minister and launched his ministry following separation from wife, May Edochie.
Early this year, Yul had responded to those questioning if he was still a minister of God. He revealed that he still is and is now more powerful because he has gone back to his roots. Explaining himself, he claimed that God opened his eyes and revealed the truth to him which has been hidden from many for decades.
Two months ago, the son of Pete Edochie clarified his stance on his calling. He made it known that he is now a prophet and a native doctor.
In March, Edochie surprised many when he claimed that God told him to go home and learn the traditional worship and ways of his people, for they’re approved by God. The controversial actor added that when he came back home, he became complete.
In another post, he spoke about his call and directions from God as a traditional cleric. The actor, who had always advocated traditions, stated that God called him to lead His people back to the traditions, which traditional ways are approved by God and are a way of salvation.
