The year 2021 is another great year for talented Nigerian singer and songwriter Ayo Balogun Wizkid.
This comes as the latest report confirmed that Wizkid bagged the award for the Best African Act in this year’s edition of the MTV Europe Music Awards.
Recall that the nominee list had been released earlier with the likes of Tems, Diamond Platnumz, Amaarae, and Focalistic making the list of contenders that could have emerged winners.
Congratulating the Nigerian international act for his win, organisers of the event via their Instagram handle, @mtvbaseafrica, wrote, “HUGE congratulations to BIG WIZ @wizkidayo for winning Best African Act! From Lagos to the world #MTVEMA #StarBoyHQ.”
Wizkid also took to his Instagram story to repost a video snippet of this announcement as the winner of the category.
In another report, Wizkid is likely to make it to this year Grammy Awards nominee list.
